Messerschmitt Me 262

Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe (Jerman untuk Telan) merupakan pesawat pejuang turbin jet operasi pertama di dunia.[4] Me 262 telah dikeluarkan semasa Perang Dunia II dan mula beraksi pada tahun 1944 sebagai kapal terbang pejuang/pengebom/pengawasan dan pemintas pelbagai peranan untuk Luftwaffe. Juruterbang Jerman memberi nama gelaran Sturmvogel (Stormbird), sementara Tentera Berikat pula memanggilnya dengan nama Turbo atau Blow Job. Me 262 tidak memiliki kesan penting kepada perang kerana kelewatan penggunaannya, dengan kejayaan menumpaskan 509 kapal terbang Pihak Berikat[5] (walau bagaimanapun kadang kala dakwaan mengatakan jumlah yang lebih tinggi[6]) berbanding kehilangan lebih daripada 100 buah Me 262.
