Alexandre Dumas
Alexandre Dumas (Perancis: [alɛksɑ̃dʁ dyma]; nama lahir Dumas Davy de la Pailleterie [dyma paulo də la pajətʁi]; 24 Julai 1802 – 5 Disember 1870)[1] atau Alexandre Dumas père (bahasa Perancis : 'si ayah'), adalah seorang penulis dari Perancis. Dumas memulakan kerjayanya dengan menulis drama. Beliau juga menulis banyak artikel majalah dan buku perjalanan yang berjumlah sebanyak 100,000 halaman. Beliau turut mendirikan sebuah akhbar yang mendokong penyatuan politik kepada suatu negara Itali yang moden iaitu L'Indipendente.

Beliau banyak menulis karya fiksyen bersiri, malah dari karya-karya bersiri itulah beliau menjadi antara penulis termasyhur negara tersebut; sebanyak hampir 200 filem merupakan adaptasi kepada karya-karyanya sejak awal abad ke-20.
