Douglass Cecil North (5 November 1920 - 23 November 2015) ialah seorang ahli ekonomi Amerika yang terkenal dengan karyanya dalam sejarah ekonomi. Beliau ialah penerima bersama (dengan Robert William Fogel dari Hadiah Peringatan Nobel dalam Sains Ekonomi 1993. Dalam kata-kata Jawatankuasa Nobel, Utara dan Fogel "penyelidikan diperbaharui dalam sejarah ekonomi dengan menggunakan teori ekonomi dan kaedah kuantitatif untuk menjelaskan perubahan ekonomi dan institusi."[1]
