Kapal selam Kelas Swiftsure

Kapal selam Kelas Swiftsure adalah sebuah kelas kapal selam penyerang berkuasa nuklear tertua yang masih digunakan di dalam perkhidmatan aktif Tentera Laut Diraja Britain. Sebanyak enam buah kapal telah dibina dan ditauliahkan bagi kelas ini. Pada tahun 1992, HMS Swiftsure telah dilucut tauliah disebabkan oleh kerosakan yang dialaminya semasa ujian. Ia kemudian diikuti oleh HMS Splendid pada tahun 2004 ekoran daripada pengurangan belanjawan pertahanan mengakibatkan pengecilan saiz armada kapal selam Britain. HMS Spartan pula dilucut tauliah pada Januari 2006 dan HMS Sovereign pada 12 September 2006. HMS Superb pula dilucut tauliah pada 26 September 2008. Satu-satunya kapal selam yang masih tinggal, HMS Sceptre, dijadualkan untuk dilucut tauliah pada tahun 2010.[1] Kapal selam dari kelas ini akan digantikan dengan kelas Astute.
