8% of Muslims in England and Wales are of Indian descent, especially those who are from Gujarat, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. There are large numbers of Gujarati Muslims in Dewsbury, Blackburn, Bolton, Preston and in the London Boroughs of Newham, Waltham Forest and Hackney.
