Subsequently, on May 5, 2009 College VOA officially been selected by the Ministry of Education as a '[http://www.moe.gov.my/webdwibahasa/kluster/ School Cluster] Excellence'. English College were selected based on excellence in various aspects such as the achievement of excellence in the Paralympic Games, excellence in mathematics achievement in the PMR and SPM as well as to recognize the programs that have been organized by the EC, for example creating Tun Hussein Onn Museum and Visual Arts Gallery EC.

 

 

EC have a week-long rivalry with other five premier all-boys school, [[Malay College Kuala Kangsar]], [[Royal Military College]], [[Sultan Ismail School]], [[Sultan Abdul Hamid College]] and School Dato 'Jaafar. However, the rivalry could be told as a love-hate relationship. The Rivals Students in many Ways (sports, studies, band etc) but at other times, Them cans be the closest of friends. The love-hate relationship was Obvious throughout generations for the five schools.

 

The uniform that's bodies are present in the school are Marching Band, Cadet Association Malaysia (PKBM Sea - Navy), Cadet Association Malaysia (PKBM Army - Army), [[Malaysian Red Crescent Society]] (MRCS), [[National Police Cadet (Malaysia)]], Malaysian Fire Brigade Cadet, 1st JB Scouts, [[Junior Cadet School Malaysia]] (KRS), Martial Arts Athletic Association and St. John Ambulance Brigade that's Cadet.The club are present in the school are Smart Buds Club, Liberity, Society, and Drama Club, Consumer Club, Science Club etc.
