All four neighboring municipalities contain extensive rural areas despite recent urbanization.

Club Atlético Bucaramanga Corporacion Deportiva, known simply as [[Atlético Bucaramanga]], is a Colombian [[Association football|football]] club based in the city of Bucaramanga.
