Eric Schmidt
Eric Emerson Schmidt (lahir 27 April 1955) merupakan seorang ahli perniagaan dan jurutera perisian Amerika Syarikat. Beliau terkenal sebagai Pengerusi Eksekutif Google dari 2001 sehingga 2015[3] dan Alphabet Inc.[4][5] dari 2015 hingga 2017.[3] Pada 2017, Forbes menyenaraikan Schmidt sebagai orang terkaya ke-119 di dunia, dengan anggaran kekayaan sebanyak AS$11.1 bilion.[6]

Sebagai intern di Bell Labs, Schmidt membuat pelengkapan semula Lex, program perisian untuk menjana penganalisis leksikal unit sistem pengendalian komputer UNIX. Dari 1997 sehingga 2001, beliau merupakan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif (CEO) Novell.[7] Dari 2001 sehingga 2011, Schmidt berkhidmat sebagai CEO Google. Beliau pernah berkhidmat di pelbagai lembaga akademik dan industri, termasuk Lembaga Pemegang Amanah untuk Universiti Carnegie Mellon,[8] Apple,[9] Universiti Princeton,[10] dan Mayo Clinic.[11]
