Sejarah ekonomi

Sejarah ekonomi adalah kajian ekonomi atau fenomena ekonomi masa lalu. Analisis dalam sejarah ekonomi dilakukan menggunakan kombinasi kaedah sejarah, kaedah statistik dan pemakaian teori ekonomi kepada situasi dan institusi sejarah. Topik itu termasuk sejarah kewangan dan perniagaan dan bertindih dengan bidang sejarah sosial seperti sejarah demografi dan buruh. Kuantitatif -dalam kes ini, pengkaji ekonomi ekonometrik juga dikenali sebagai kliometrik.^[1]
