William Ewart Gladstone
William Ewart Gladstone, FRS, FSS ([glaed-sten], 29 Disember 1809 – 19 Mei 1898) merupakan seorang negarawan British daripada Parti Liberal United Kingdom. Beliau berkhidmat sebagai Perdana Menteri negara tersebut selama 12 tahun merangkumi empat penggal bermula dari 1868 sehingga 1894, di mana beliau merupakan Perdana Menteri tertua mentadbir United Kingdom selepas bersara pada usia 84 tahun.
Doktrin politik beliau yang menekankan kesamarataan peluang, perdagangan bebas dan dasar-dasar ekonomi laissez-faire dikembangkan menjadi suatu fahaman liberalisme yang banyak mempengaruhi politik United Kingdom sehingga turut dibincangkan setaraf dengan Thatcherisme.[1][2][3]
