Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Claire Deschanel (/ˈzoʊi ˌdeɪʃəˈnɛl/; lahir 17 Januari 1980) ialah seorang pelakon, penyanyi dan penulis lagu wanita Amerika Syarikat. Beliau membuat kemunculan sulung di layar lebar menerusi filem Mumford (1999), diikuti oleh peranan pembantu dalam filem separa autobiografi Cameron Crowe Almost Famous (2000). Deschanel tidak lama kemudian dikenali menerusi peranan komedi deadpan dalam filem seperti The Good Girl (2002), The New Guy (2002), Elf (2003), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005), Failure to Launch (2006), Yes Man (2008), dan (500) Days of Summer (2009).[1][2][3] Beliau juga melakonkan watak dramatik dalam filem seperti Manic (2001), All the Real Girls (2003), Winter Passing (2005) dan Bridge to Terabithia (2007).[4][5] Sejak 2011, beliau memainkan watak Jessica Day dalam sitkom Fox New Girl, yang mana beliau menerima pencalonan Anugerah Emmy dan pencalonan Anugerah Golden Globe.

Kehidupan awal sunting

Deschanel dilahirkan pada 17 Januari 1980 di Los Angeles, California.[9] Beliau merupakan anak perempuan bongsu kepada sinematografer dan pengarah Caleb Deschanel dan pelakon Mary Jo Deschanel (née Weir).
