Mary-Kate Olsen
Mary-Kate Olsen (lahir 13 Jun 1986)[1] merupakan seorang pereka fesyen, penerbit, pengarang, ahli perniagaan, pemain ekuestrian, dan pelakon Amerika Syarikat. Beliau mengasaskan bersama jenama The Row, Elizabeth and James, dan Olsenboye serta StyleMint bersama adik kembarnya Ashley Olsen. Olsen menceburi bidang lakonan secara bebas sehingga 2012.[2] Beliau merupakan kakak sulung kepada pelakon Elizabeth Olsen.

Kelahiran dan keluarga sunting
Mary-Kate dilahirkan di Sherman Oaks, California, anak perempuan Jarnette "Jarnie" (née Jones;[3] lahir 1954), seorang pengurus peribadi, dan David "Dave" Olsen, seorang pemaju hartanah dan pajak gadai.[4] Bersama-sama dengan adik kembarnya, Ashley, beliau mempunyai seorang abang sulung, Trent, adik bongsu, Elizabeth, dan dua adik beradik tiri, Taylor dan Jake, dari perkahwinan kedua bapanya.[5] Ibu bapa Olsen bercerai pada 1996.[6] Beliau menghadiri Campbell Hall School di Los Angeles.[7]

Pada 2008, kembar Olsen mengarang bersama buku Influence, yang menampilkan temuramah bersama pereka fesyen yang mengilhamkan jenama pakaian pasangan dua beradik kembar ini.[8]
