Orang Somali

Orang Somali (Somali: Soomaalida 𐒈𐒝𐒑𐒛𐒐𐒘𐒆𐒖, Arab: صوماليون, rumi: Aṣ-Ṣomāliyūn) ialah suatu kelompok etnik menduduki rantau Tanduk Afrika;[43] mereka merupakan kelompok paling besar menduduki sesebuah kawasan di benua tersebut. Mereka menuturkan bahasa Somali dari cabang Kusy rumpun Afroasia serta banyak menganut agama Islam Sunnah.[44]

Etnik ini pada dasarnya tertumpu di kawasan-kawasan Somalia (sekitar 8.8 juta orang), Somaliland (5.7 juta orang), [45] Ethiopia (4.6 juta orang), Kenya (2.8 juta orang) dan Djibouti (534,000 orang);[46] mereka juga turut tersebar di bahagian-bahagian selatan dan pesisiran Tasik-Tasik Besar Afrika malah sejauh Timur Tengah, Amerika Utara, Eropah Barat dan Oceania.
