Parti Demokratik Baru Kanada
Parti Demokratik Baru (bahasa Inggeris: New Democratic Party , disingkatkan kepada NDP; Perancis: Nouveau Parti démocratique , disingkatkan kepada NPD) ialah sebuah parti politik di Kanada yang menumpukan kepada fahaman demokrasi sosial dan pendekatan federalisme dalam pemerintahan negara tersebut.[3] Ia dibentuk hasil pemenggabungan Co-operative Commonwealth Federation dan Kongres Buruh Kanada pada tahun 1961.[14] Ia berada dalam ideologi lebih berhalukan ke kiri berbanding Parti Liberal Kanada.[11][12][15][16]

Ideologi
suntingIdeologi parti ini banyak kuatnya daripada salah satu parti perintisnya, Co-operative Commonwealth Federation; parti ini didasarkan daripada sosialisme, agrarianisme dan populisme diutuhkan dengan unsur-unsur Kristiani setempat sepertimana dibawa pergerakan Injil Sosial Protestan,[17] namun NDP lebih beralih kepada pendirian yang sekular dan pluralistik serta menerapkan unsur-unsur bawaan pergerakan Kiri Baru.[18]
