Pendidikan alam sekitar

Pendidikan alam sekitar (Bahasa Inggeris: environmental education atau dipendekkan dengan EE sahaja, Bahasa Indonesia: Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup) merujukkan kepada usaha terancang untuk mengajarkan mengenai bagaimana kebergunaan persekitaran semula jadi, dan amat khasnya, ialah mengenai bagaimana setiap insan boleh menguruskan tingkah laku dan ekosistem sehingga boleh berhidup secara berkekalan. Ianya merupakan berbilang tatatertib yang menyepadukan bidang-bidang ilmu pengetahuan yang ianya berdekatan dengan biologi, ilmu kimia, ilmu fizik, ekologi, sains bumi, sains atmosfera, matematik, dan geografi. Penggal tersebut selalunya ditandakan bagi dunia pendidikan dalam lingkungan sistem persekolahan dari sekolah rendah sehingga sekolah lepasan menengah. Bagaimanapun, ia kadang kala merangkumi segala usaha bagi mendidik orang ramai dan para hadirin lain yang melihat yang meliputi seperti dengan bahan bercetak, laman sesawang, kempen media dan sebagainya.

Para pelajar yang berasal dari Maghribi sedang memerhati burung-burung di tasik berhampiran dengan hujung laut di bandar Nador ketika tindakan tersebut diaturkan dengan SEO/BirdLife ketika Hari Tanah Berpaya Dunia dalam Maghribi.

Pendidikan Alam Sekitar ialah satu pengajaran bagi perseorangan dan komuniti-komuniti dalam melakukan peralihan menuju ke satu masyarakat yang arif akan alam sekitar dan masalah-masalah yang berkaitan dengannya, menyedari akan larutan terhadap masalah-masalah itu dan mempunyai dorongan atau bermotivasi bagi menyelesaikannya.
