Serangan Mongol ke atas Eropah Timur, berlaku di bawah kepimpinan Subutai, memusnahkan prinsipaliti Slav Timur, seperti Kiev dan Vladimir. Mongol kemudian menyerbu Kerajaan Hungary (Pertempuran Mohi) dan Poland (Pertempuran Legnica), serangan terdahulunya diarahkan oleh Batu Khan, cucu kepada Genghis Khan, dan kemudian oleh Kadan, juga merupakan cucu kepada Genghis Khan, walau bagaimanapun kedua-dua serangan diatur oleh Subutai.
