Teater Broadway

Teater Broadway merujuk kepada persembahan teater yang dipersembahkan dalam 41 panggung teater profesional, setiap satunya menampung lebih daripada 500 kerusi penonton terletak di Theater District dan Lincoln Center di Broadway, kawasan Midtown Manhattan dalam Bandar Raya New York.^[1]^[2] Ia dan teater West End dianggap sebagai medan teater komersial tahap tertinggi dalam dunia bahasa Inggeris.

Kebanyakan acara yang diadakan di Broadway berbentuk teater muzikal. Produksi sedemikian - terutamanya yang dianjurkan bersama Richard Rodgers dan Oscar Hammerstein - menjadi sangat berpengaruh dalam budaya popular Amerika lalu menyumbang menjadikan New York sebagai sebuah pusat budaya di Hemisphera Barat.^[3]
