English: Current provinces that contain the birthplace or hometown of Philippine presidents (blue), vice presidents (red) or both (purple) Some towns or cities may have either became independent from a province, or was transferred to another province. For those instances, the original province has a lighter shade.
At the time of Manuel L. Quezon's birth, the town of Baler was a part of the District of El Principe, governed under the province of Nueva Ecija. In 1902, Baler was made part of the province of Tayabas, which was renamed Quezon in honor of him in 1946. The town of Baler now is the capital of the province of Aurora (named after Quezon's wife), which was a sub-province of Quezon from 1951 until it was made a separate province in 1973. Quezon here is shaded with a lighter color.
At the time of Sergio Osmeña's birth of Cebu is administered as a part of Cebu province. Cebu was eventually granted cityhood, and was later administered separately from the province. Here, Cebu province has the lighter shade.
Emmanuel Pelaez's hometown of Cagayan de Misamis was previously a part of Misamis Oriental, became an independent city, due to the law that was passed that he authored. Here, Misamis Oriental has a lighter shade.
Estrada was born in Manila, which is an independent city when he was born, but was most well known as the mayor of San Juan. During the time of Estrada's mayorship, it was under the province of Rizal from 1969 to 1975, and is an independent municipality within from 1975 to 1986. Estrada here is shown as being from San Juan, with Rizal being shaded a lighter color. Estrada would later serve as mayor of Manila starting in 2010.
