Halldór Laxness
Halldór Kiljan Laxness (lahir Halldór Guðjónsson; 23 April 1902 - 8 Februari 1998) ialah seorang penulis bahasa Iceland. Beliau memenangi Hadiah Nobel dalam Kesusasteraan 1955; beliau ialah satu-satunya penghargaan Nobel Iceland.[2] Beliau menulis novel, puisi, artikel akhbar, esei, drama, travelog dan cerita pendek. Pengaruh utama termasuk August Strindberg, Sigmund Freud, Knut Hamsun, Sinclair Lewis, Upton Sinclair, Bertolt Brecht dan Ernest Hemingway.[3]
