RSS
RSS (dahulunya "RDF Site Summary", dikenali secara tidak rasmi sebagai "Really Simple Syndication") merupakan keluarga format penyuap Web yang digunakan bagi mengemas kini kandungan seperti catatan blog, tajuk berita atau podcasts. Dokuman RSS, yang dikenali sebagai "feed", "penyuap web - web feed", atau "channel", mengandungi samaada ringkasan kandungan dari tapak laman berkait atau teks penuh. RSS menjadikannya mudah bagi orang ramai menjejak tapak web kegemaran mereka secara automatik yang lebih mudah berbanding menjejak secara manual.

Kandungan RSS boleh dibaca dengan menggunakan perisian dikenali sebagai "pembaca RSS", "pembaca penyuap (feed reader)" atau "aggregator". Pengguna melanggan kepada penyuap dengan memasukkan pautan penyuap pada pembaca atau mengklik pada ikon RSS pada pelayar yang memulakan proses berlanggan. Pembaca memeriksa langganan penyuap pengguna secara berkala bagi kandungan baru, memuat terima sebarang kemaskini yang dijumpainya.
Singkatan "RSS" kini digunakan bagi merujuk salah satu format berikut:
- Really Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0)
- RDF Site Summary (RSS 1.0 and RSS 0.90)
- Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.91)
BitTorrent dan RSS
suntingApplikasi (peer-to-peer) BitTorrent turut mengumumkan sokongan bagi RSS. Penyuap tersebut (juga dikenali sebagai Torrent/RSS-es atau Torrentcasts) akan membenarkan applikasi pelanggan untuk muat terima fail secara automatik sebaik sahaja pembaca RSS mengesannya (juga dikenali sebagai Broadcatching). Kebanyakan pelanggan BitTorrent biasa telahpun menawarkan sokongan RSS.
