Standard Unggas Britain merupakan standard baka unggas hias tertua di dunia. Ia telah diterbitkan oleh Kelab Unggas Great Britain dan digunakan sebagai standard rujukan rasmi oleh para hakim di pertunjukan unggas dalam United Kingdom dan Republik Ireland.

Sejarah
suntingStandard ini buat pertama kali telah diterbitkan pada tahun 1865 oleh Kelab Unggas Great Britain asal,[1] sebuah kelab yang hanya wujud selama tiga tahun.[2] Ia bertajuk Standard kesempurnaan di Pertunjukan Unggas dan telah disunting oleh William Bernhardt Tegetmeier.[1] Ia merupakan penerbitan pertama dalam jenisnya. Kompilasi standard telah diambil alih oleh kelab kedua dan terkini iaitu, Kelab Unggas Great Britain.[2] Jumlah edisi standard yang telah diterbitkan tidak menentu, oleh kerana setiap penerbit yang berjaya digunakan oleh Kelab Unggas Great Britain menggunakan kembali rujukan sebagai edisi pertama.[2] Edisi terkini yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2019 oleh Blackwell, adalah edisi ke-7.[3]
Kegunaan
suntingStandard ini menjadi rujukan rasmi untuk digunakan oleh para hakim di pertunjukan unggas di United Kingdom dan Republik Ireland. Ia mengandungi lebih dari 150 standard baka-baka ayam, itik, angsa dan ayam belanda; merpati tidak dimasukkan dalam standard ini.
