This template is used by {{Plph}}. It takes care of some of the phonetic assimilations in Polish, notably palatalization of consonants before "i" and "j", as well as the differentiation of allophones [e] and [ɛ]. Different ways of pronuncing "ą" and "ę" are also supported.

For that reason

[{{IPA-pl|dzi|ę|ci|e|'|l|i|n|a}}]

produces: [sebutan Poland: [dzi] ( dengar)] and not *[sebutan Poland: [dzi] ( dengar)sebutan Poland: [i] ( dengar)].
