'''Beruang Polar''' (''Ursus maritimus''), adalah [[mamalia]] besar dalam aturan [[maging]], keluarga biologi [[Ursidae]]. Ia adalah spesies [[circumpolar]] yang terdapat di dan sekitar Lautan Artik. Ia adalah haiwan maging mamalia daratan terbesar. Beruang Polar dewasa jantan seberat antara 400 hingga 600 kilogram dan kadang kala melebihi 800 kilogram. Beruang Polar betina sekitar separuh berat beruang jantan dan biasanya seberat antara 200 hingga 300 kilogram. Beruang jantan dewasa sepanjang 240 hingga 260 sentimeter dan beruang betina antara 190 hingga 210 sentimeter. Ketika baru lahir, bayi beruang seberat 600 hingga 700 gram.
Kerana kehilangan habitat dijangka disebabkan oleh perubahan iklim, beruang kutub diklasifikasikan sebagai spesies lemah, dan sekurang-kurangnya tiga daripada sembilan belas sub-populasi beruang kutub kini merosot. Selama beberapa dekad, memburu besar-besaran menimbulkan kebimbangan antarabangsa untuk masa depan spesies, tetapi populasi meningkat semula selepas kawalan dan kuota mula berkuat kuasa. Beribu-ribu tahun, beruang kutub telah menjadi tokoh utama dalam bahan, rohani, dan kehidupan budaya bangsa circumpolar, dan beruang kutub kekal penting dalam budaya mereka.
