Perhatikan bagi beberapa buah negara, tiada maklumat yang diperolehi oleh penghimpun Buku Fakta Dunia; oleh itu negara-negara ini telah dikeluarkan daripada senarai. Akibatnya, jumlah perbelanjaan dunia bagi angkatan tentera berkemungkinan sedikit tinggi daripada yang ditunjukkan.
